Chiyonoyama Gets 1st Sumo Setback
OSAKA, Mar. 13. - Grand Champion Chiyonoyama suffered
his first defeat in the current spring Grand Sumo Tournament Tuesday when
he was beaten by Sekiwake Tokitsuyama at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium,
Namba, on the third day of the 15-day competition.
With two other Yokozuna wrestlers Yoshibayama and
Tochinishiki, having been already defeated on the second day, Kagamisato
is now the only highest-ranked grappler keeping a clean slate.
All the three komusubi wrestlers, Dewanishiki, Tsurugamine
and Naruyama, were also beaten Tuesday.
