SUMO RESULTS

    OSAKA, Mar. 9. – Ozeki-ranking Mitsuneyama took his second straight drubbing in the Grand Spring Sumo Tournament at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium Wednesday as he was overcome by Tamanoumi.
    The four Grand Champions all copped their matches on the tourney's fourth day, Kagamisato beating Naruyama; Tochinishiki, Kitanonada; Chiyonoyama, Futatsuryu and Yoshibayama, Hajimayama.


    OSAKA, Mar. 9. – The 34 year old Grand Champion Yoshibayama is believed to have to stay out of the ring for the rest of the current 15-day tournament competition as he received a severe cut on his left forefinger during his bout with Hajimayama Wednesday from which he emerged victorious.
    Yoshibayama said at the hospital, "I did not think the cut was so bad," when the doctor told him that four or five stitches are necessary.
