Grand Champion Tochinishiki's hopes of stomping off with the New Year's Grand Sumo Tournament crown were dealt a stunning blow Wednesday as he went down to his second defeat in four starts, this time to Wakasegawa.
    By virtue of his triumph, Wakasegawa, victor over 354-pound Yokozuna Kagamisato, pushed himself as one of the
leading candidates for the tourney championship.
    The other Yokozunas came through on the fourth day of the tourney, Chiyonoyama defeating Kitanonada, Kagamisato downing Dewanishiki and Yoshibayama toppling Shinobuyama.
