OSAKA, Mar. 19 – “Ozeki” Mitsuneyama proved himself
to be the possible winner of the Emperor's Trophy by defeating “Yokozuna”
Kagamisato on the 14th day of the Spring Grand Professional Sumo Tournament
at Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium, Namba, Friday.
Mitsuneyama, Futaseyama and Daitenryu entered today's
bouts with a record of 10 wins and three losses but Futaseyama and Daitenryu
were defeated by Hajimayama and Kuninobori, respectively.
Mitsuneyama will meet scrappy “Ozeki” Tochinishiki
on the last day.
If he wins, he will be crowned champion but if he
loses another wildcard scramble for top position will be staged by the
wrestlers with tie records.
