The second annual National Amateur Sumo Tournament will be held Sunday, February 7, from 11 a.m. at the Kuramae Kokugikan, Asakusa, Tokyo with the participation of 64 contestants selected on the basis of their outstanding performances in district and collegiate tournaments.
    The event is sponsored by the Japan Sumo Association with the support of the Education Ministry, the Tokyo Metropolis and the Mainichi Newspapers.
