AZUMAFUJI OUT OF MEET AFTER LOSING AGAIN

    Power continued to tell on the fifth day of the current Japan professional sumo wrestling tournament at the Kuramae Kokugikan Arena in Tokyo on Thursday. The undefeated behemoths came through with one one toppling.
    Grand Champion Azumafuji, winner of the last tourney, suffered his second defeat in two days and immediately announced his retirement from the remainder of the current tourney. A sprained thigh muscle was offered as his excuse.
    Still undefeated were Grand Champions Chiyonoyama and Kagamisato, Ozeki ranked Yoshibayama, Wakabayama, Shimanishiki and Miyanishiki. Wakasegawa’s loss to Wakabayama decreased the list to six.
