THE SPRING SUMO SEASON opened at Kuramae Kokugikan yesterday, following the traditional announcement of the opening of the year's first sumo season by 15 groups of drummers who marched through the part of Tokyo that was previously known as Yedo. Grand Champion yesterday participated before a packed house, in the traditional opening ceremony for the sumo tournament. Kyodo.
