Japan's oldest traditional sport - Sumo - is gaining its prewar prosperity although at one time it found itself being outpaced by modern sports.
    Grand Champion Terukuni, shown in the photo, remained "Japan No. 1" by winning his second straight championship in January this year.
    Looking like a bull, he bows to no one - except in weight. (370 pounder Azumafuji is heavier).
    Terukuni's bulk can be a source of inconvenience at times. An ordinary seat provided in planes is hardly able to accommodate him. Whether or not this is the reason, in the coming barnstorming tour of Hawaii scheduled for June, Terukuni is going not by plane - but aboard a ship.
