NWA Pilot Takes Up Sumo

TOKYO, Mar. 13 - A Northwest Airlines pilot has taken up the popular Japanese grunt and groan sport of sumo wrestling.
Russell Laboda who frequented sumo matches on his plane stops in Tokyo found the sport "very interesting" and decided to try his hand.
On his off duty hours he goes to the training quarters of Terukuni, the grand champion, where he dons a colorful ceremonial apron and cavorts himself in the ring.
Declaring that "the more I like it the better I get," he is making steady progress.
