Estranged Sweetheart Fights Sumo Champion

TSURUOKA, Oct. 11 - An ex-school teacher Miss Fumiko Sato, 32, filed an arbitration suit against "Sumo" champion wrestler Haguroyama at the Tsuruoka, Domestic Court on September 21, claiming a solatium of ¥1 million.
The story dates back to the time when Haguroyama, alias Masashi Kobayashi, 37, evacuated to Tamuke-mura, Higashi Tagawa-gun, Yamagata Prefecture, in 1945.
During his brief stay in Tamuke-mura, Haguroyama fell in love with Miss Sato who was then a primary school teacher.
Following the war's end a baby was born to Miss Sato in June, 1946, and the love-child was recognised formally as his own son by Haguroyama in November last year.
However, to her great disappointment, she has heard not a single word nor received a red cent from him since then.
The lovelorn ex-school ma'am has finally come against a financial wall with a four year child to feed.
Miss Sato then sued her erstwhile, wrestler-sweetheart, for a solatium of ¥1 million this September.
Champion wrestler Haguroyama, however, failed to show up at the first hearing scheduled on October 5. The next hearing is expected to be held on October 27.
