2 Year Old And Already Weighs 79 Pounds

Bottom: An ordinary baby of the same age, on the right looks surprised at Hidetaka's size.

A baby giant has appeared - a baby boy who stands 3.1 feet high and weighs 9.5 kan (about 79 lb.) although he is only two years and nine months after he was born. His favorite pastime is lifting and waiving a 16 lb. iron bar.
This boy Hidetaka Kodama is eldest son of Tadataka Kodama and his wife In of Tasaki, Sumita, Katanishimura, Akiga-gun, Akita Prefecture.
Born a baby of ordinary size he began to show a surprising appetite some 100 days afterward. He takes full three bowls of rice at every meal, topping it off with an apple or other fruits.
He is said to be as big as Terukuni, "Yokozuna" champion of Japanese sumodom, in his babyhood. Terukuni also hails from Akita Prefecture.
