SEEMS LIKE EVERY TIME we get to talking sports around the desk here some one brings up the question of the way an American wrestler would go against one of Japan's big Sumo wrestlers. There isn't much to compare between the two when you stop to consider that there is quite a difference in the two styles of grappling. Sumo doesn't include the holds that American wrestlers use but seems to be more of a pushing contest, depending more on strength than skill. Such grips as Strangler Lewis' headlock, Jim Browning's leg-scissors or Jim Londos' air plane spin are unheard of here, which makes a real comparison between the two almost impossible.
