The 27th annual national intercollegiate sumo tournament scheduled to take place on November 12 at the Sakai-Ohama ring near Osaka was postponed until Sunday, November 13, due to rain.
    Professional baseball games at the Korakuen stadium, Tokyo, and the national university baseball tourney at the Nishinoya stadium near Osaka were also rained out.
