The 13 day spring sumo tournament reached its seventh day yesterday with the field of winners considerably narrowed down.
    At the end of six days, only Champion Masuiyama and Kuninobori boasted perfect records. Grand Champion Azumafuji lost his match on the fourth day while Grand Champion Maedayama dropped out due to illness.
    Other wrestlers with a five and one record are Kotonishiki, Kiyoenami, Ouchiyama and Wakabayama.
    All other wrestlers in the top ranking have two or more defeats.
    Matches begin at 9.30 a.m. and end at 4.30 p.m.
