Participated in by 48 leading teams from all parts of the country, the 1948 National Senior High School Sumo Tournament will be staged on October 9 and  10 at the Ohama sumo ring in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, under the joint auspices of the Japan Sumo Federation and the Mainichi Press.
