TOKYO, June 15. - Maedayama, 33 year old "ozeki" of the West team, who established the good record of nine wins and only one defeat during the summer main tourney, was unanimously recommended  as the 39th "yokozuna" wrestler at the Dai Nippon Sumo Association officials' meeting held this morning at its office at Ryogoku here.
    The promotion of Maedayama to "yokozuna" was made to fill a vacancy caused by the recent retirement of Akinoumi, former captain of the West team, from the ring.
