Haguroyama's Ambition For 35 Straight Foiled

    TOKYO, June 10. - Grand sumo champion Haguroyama's ambition of winning a 35 straight victory in the official match finally ended in failure when he tasted his first defeat at the hands of tricky "ozeki" grappler Maedayama of the West team in a big upset on the eighth day of the summer main sumo tourney at the Meiji sumo ring here today.
    By virtue of Haguroyama's unlucky defeat, Azumafuji, promising "ozeki" of the West squad, became the only undefeated wrestler in the senior camp, toppling Mitsuneyama, "komusubi," on that day.
