Big Upset Marks 4th Day Of Summer Sumo Matches
TOKYO, June 6 - An upset marked the fourth day of
the summer sumo tourney at the Meiji Shrine ring here today when Terukuni,
chubby "yokozuna," or captain of the West team, went down in defeat before
the tricky grappler Kashiwado in the last match of the day.
By overpowering the West camp 15 to 6 on that
day, the East team further increased its lead in the inter-team competition
to 23 points, the total being 53 to 30.
The results of the other leading bouts on the fourth day were:
