Drawing wide attention of sumo fans throughout the country, the much awaited autumn main sumo tourney of the Japan Professional Sumo Association will be held for 13 days from November 6 at the Memorial Hall (formerly Kokugikan), Tokyo.
    Prior to the opening of the 13 day main tournament, the new rankings for wrestlers on the roster of the association will be announced on October 20.
    Futabayama, "yokozuna," who has already expressed his intention to resign from the sumo ring, will not participate in the coming tourney. However, he will stage his last official sumo match on November 19 when a farewell meet is held at the same sumo ring.
