NAKAMOZU, Osaka, Sept. 22 - The national intercollegiate sumo meet - the blue ribbon students' classic - was opened at the sumo ring here today for the first time in five years since 1941 under the joint auspices of the Mainichi Press and the Japan Sumo League.
    At 9 a.m., an opening ceremony was held, with 130 stoutly built grapplers of 26 contesting schools making a ceremonious entry into the ring in two groups, one from the east side and the other from the west.
    Competition was started with the first round match between the 6th higher school and the Kochi young men's normal school.
