The fall sumo (wrestling) tournament opened on Friday at the Kokugikan, Honjo ward, with a smaller house than in years. About 10 GI's were present in the gallery with 100 seats in the center of the second floor which is reserved for the Allied Forces.
    The tournament was preceded by a ceremony in which Bishuzan, the most successful wrestler in the previous tournament, returned the Championship Flag to the chief of the Wrestlers' Association which is sponsoring the tournament.
