SUMO MATCHES SET NOV. 16
Will Be Staged for 10 Days at Ryogoku Wrestling Arena
Japanese sumo or wrestling matches will be staged
at the Ryogoku wrestling amphitheater for 10 days beginning from November
16 and the programs in which the wrestlers will participate in are expected
to be published on November 5, reports Kyodo.
The Japan Wrestling Association has decided to invite
100 officers of the Allied occupation forces each day and also 1,000 tickets
each at the price of ¥7 per admission will sold in advance to the American
officers and enlisted men from November 5 at the second floor of the Itoya
Stationary Store on the Ginza.
Tickets will be sold in advance to the public from
November 6 at the wrestling amphitheater. Doors will open at 9 a.m., the
bouts starting at 10 a.m. and from 1 p.m. matches participated in by first
rank wrestling and champions will start.
