Repair Work on Ryogoku Amphitheater Almost Finished

    With the repair work on the Ryogoku Amphitheater, which was damaged in the March 19 air raid, almost completed, wrestling matches will be held about the middle of November, says the Asahi.
    Under orders of General Douglas MacArthur's Headquarters to repair the wrestling amphitheater as quickly as possible so as to provide the people with some means of recreation, the date of opening scheduled for February has been advanced. With a fund of ¥200,000, repair work started one month ago. With the gradual return of wrestlers who are now on comfort trips, or engaged in farming to contribute toward the production of foodstuffs, preparations to hold matches will be started. Programs are expected to be published soon.
    Some 20 newspaper correspondents of the A.P., the New York Times, the Chicago Herald Tribune, the Times, London and the Stars and Stripes have expressed a desire see the wrestlers practising. Therefore, a special program for newspapermen will be given from 9 a.m. on November 10. It is further reported that some seats will be reserved for the occupation troops.
