West 'Yokozuna' Defeated For 3rd Time

    Akinoumi, "yokozuna" of the West team, who has already lost two matches in the current tourney, suffered another black ball at the hands of Maedayama, "ozeki," on the eighth day of the summer main sumo tourney, May 15, at the specially constructed ring in the Korakuen stadium, Tokyo.
    Coming back strong, the West team outpointed the East team 12 to 11 on that day, but the East side still leads the senior inter-team series with a total score of 105 points to 85.
