Haguroyama Bows Again On Tourney's 9th Day

    Haguroyama, "yokozuna" of the West team, tasted his second defeat in the present tournament this time at the hands of Kasagiyama, veteran wrestler holding the third rank in the "maegashira" class, in the last bout on the ninth day of the current main sumo tourney, January 17, at the Kokugikan, Ryogoku, Tokyo.
    All the "sekiwake" grapplers on both the East and West sides were also defeated by their respective opponents on that day when the East team outpointed the West team 11 to 10 in the inter-team competition, but the West side still leads the series with the total score of 104 points to 96.
    On that day, Dr. Helmut Wohlthat, chief of the German Economic Mission to Nippon, and five other members of the party visited the Kokugikan.
