Chance For Individual Title Is Increased
Haguroyama, "yokozuna" and the only undefeated grappler,
increased the possibility of taking the individual title of the Osaka sumo
tourney as a result of his victory over Toyoshima, "sekiwake" of the West
team, on the 12th day of the 13-day series, November 22, at the specially
constructed Kokugikan.
Overpowering the West team 15 points to 6 on that day,
the East team led the senior inter-team series with a one-sided score of
149 points to 98.
