Chance For Individual Title Is Increased

    Haguroyama, "yokozuna" and the only undefeated grappler,  increased the possibility of taking the individual title of the Osaka sumo tourney as a result of his victory over Toyoshima, "sekiwake" of the West team, on the 12th day of the 13-day series, November 22, at the specially constructed Kokugikan.
   Overpowering the West team 15 points to 6 on that day, the East team led the senior inter-team series with a one-sided score of 149 points to 98.

The results of the other leading matches on the 12th day were:

Kasagiyama defeated Kuganishiki
Terunobori defeated Futasegawa
Saganohana defeated Sagamigawa
Nayoroiwa defeated Ayanobori
Terukuni defeated Maedayama
Futabayama defeated Akinoumi



Terukuni Defeated

    In an all-"yokozuna" bout, Haguroyama defeated Terukuni to maintain his undefeated record on the 11th day of the Osaka sumo tourney, November 21, at the specially constructed Kokugikan.
    Overwhelming the West team 15 points to 6 on the 11th day, the east team widened the gap, the score being 134 to 92.
