Masuiyama Beats 'Yokozuna' In Osaka Sumo Tourney

    Futabayama, "yokozuna" and captain of the East team, was defeated by Masuiyama on the fourth day of the Osaka sumo tourney, November 14, at the specially constructed Kokugikan.
    The East and West teams tied 10 to 10 on that day.

Maedayama Bows

    Maedayama, "ozeki" of the East team, suffered his second defeat, this time in the hands of Kasagiyama, on the fifth day of the Osaka sumo tourney, November 15, at the specially constructed Kokugikan.
    Gaining a one point lead on that day, the East team increased its lead in the senior inter-team series to 15 points, the total score being 58 to 43.
