Futabayama Wins

Futabayama, Yokozuna, successfully defended his title in the All-Nippon professional sumo championship meet dedicated to the Meiji Shrine, by defeating Azumafuji in the finals of the 14th tourney held on November 3 from 1 p.m. at the sumo ring in the outer garden of the shrine.
Prince Tokugawa and Finance Minister Kaya were among the 10,000 spectators. Of three other Yokozuna grapplers, Akinoumi was beaten by Futamiyama in the first round, while Terukuni and Haguroyama went down before Tamanoumi and Kamikaze, respectively, in the second round.
