Futaba To Become Sumo Champ Again

Victory In Current Tourney Assured On 14th Day; Haguro Beaten

    Futabayama, "yokozuna" and captain of the East team, assured for himself another tourney victory by defeating Toyoshima, "sekiwake," on the 14th day of the current summer main sumo tourney, May 25,  at the Kokugikan, Tokyo.
    On this day, Haguroyama was beaten by Terukuni in an all-"yokozuna" bout.
    Haguroyama and Futabayama were the only undefeated grapplers in the senior camp until the 13th day.
    Akinoumi, "yokozuna" and vice captain of the West team, defeated Maedayama, "ozeki."
    By overwhelming the East team 14 points to 8 on the 14th day, the West team regained the lead in the senior inter-team series, 157 to 154.
