Akinoumi Beats Azumafuji; East Outpoints West On 4th Day

    Showing class as a "yokozuna," Akinoumi, vice-captain of the West team, defeated Azumafuji, rising wrestler, in a feature match on the fourth day of the summer main sumo tourney, May 12, at the Kokugikan, Tokyo.
    By outpointing the West team 13 to 10 on that day, the East team increased its lead in the senior interteam series to 12 points, 52 to 40.
