East Outpoints West By 13-9 On 9th Day

    Sagamigawa, "komusubi" of the East team, who defeated Futabayama, "yokozuna" , on the eighth day, again shone by toppling Maedayama, "ozeki" on the ninth day of the Osaka tourney of the Dai Nippon Sumo Association, April 13, at the specially constructed Kokugikan in Fukushima park.
    The East team outpointed the West team 13 to 9 on that day to increase its lead in the senior inter-team series to 10 points 103 to 93.

The results of the other leading matches on the ninth day were:
