Osaka Sumo Tourney

    The Osaka tourney of the Dai Nippon Sumo Association was opened on April 2 at the specially constructed Kokugikan in the Fukushima park, being participated in by all the wrestlers on the roster of the association, including four "yokozuna." The tourney will continue for 13 days.
    At 10 a.m., the officials of the association and the leading grapplers paid homage to the Osaka Shrine for War Dead where the time honored "dezuiri" was displayed by Futabayama, "yokozuna," before the sanctuary.
    On the first day, the East team outpointed the West team 14 to 7.
