    The results of the leading matches on the sixth day of the sumo tournament on October 12 held at the specially constructed grounds of Fukushima park, Osaka were as follows:

Toyoshima defeated Tsurugamine
Tamanoumi defeated Bishuzan
Kasagiyama defeated Kamikaze
Dewaminato defeated Saganohana
Maedayama defeated Hishuzan
Akinoumi defeated Futasegawa
Terukuni defeated Terunobori
Futabayama defeated Kashimanada
Haguroyama defeated Sakuranishiki

Results On Sunday

    All of the four grapplers holding the title of "yokozuna," namely, Futabayama, Haguroyama, Akinoumi and Terukuni won their respective matches on Sunday, the fifth day of the 13 day tourney in Osaka, to keep up their unmarred records.
    The results of the leading matches on Sunday were:

Inter-Factory Sumo

    KOSHIEN, Oct. 11, - The Sakurajima plant of the Osaka Iron Works won the Osaka Mainichi's 6th All-Nippon Inter-Factory Sumo tourney held here today. The individual honors were won by Hatakeyama of the Sumitomo Steel Works.
    The affair was supported by the Welfare Office, the Patriotical Industrial Association, and the All-Nippon Factory Sumo League.


Intercollegiate Sumo

    The Kwansei Gakuin sumo team won The All-Nippon intercollegiate sumo tourney, held under the auspices of the Dai Nippon Students Physical Training Association for two days ending Sunday, October 11, at the ring in the Meiji Shrine outer garden.
    The Kwansei Gakuin defeated the powerful Takushoku University squad 3 matches to 2, thus winning the title.
    The individual championships were won by Nishimura of Nihon University who defeated Tauchi of Keio.
