Futabayama, "yokozuna," one of the two undefeated grapplers, went down in defeat before Kiyomigawa in one of the biggest upsets so far on the 12th day of the current main sumo series, May 21.
    Akinoumi, "ozeki," is now the only undefeated grappler. On the 12th day, he defeated powerful Nayoroiwa, the latter thus tasting his second defeat in the current tourney.
    The West team further widened its lead by 26 points to 160 to 134, by outpointing the East team on the 12th day by 16 to 7.
