Maedayama  and Terukuni, both "ozeki," were defeated by Dewanishiki and Tamanoumi, repetitively, on the 11th day of the summer main sumo tourney, May 20.
Maedayama thus tasted his third defeat while Terukuni the second defeat.
    Meanwhile, Futabayama and Akinoumi maintained their unmarred record by defeating Komatsuyama and Toyoshima.
    At the end of the 11th day, the West team led by 17 points, 144 to 127, over the East team.

    The fifth Osaka-Hyogo inter-prefectural factory workers' sumo meet will be held on Sunday, May 24, at the specially constructed ring at Koshien, under the auspices of the Dai Nippon Factory Sumo League and supported by the Osaka and Hyogo Patriotic Industrial Societies and the Osaka Mainichi.
