The Osaka tourney of the Japan Professional Sumo Association, in honor of the Osaka Shrine for War Dead, was opened on March 28 at the specially constructed ring west of Sumiyoshi park.
    At 10 a.m., officials and leading wrestlers of the society paid a visit to the Osaka Shrine for War Dead. The time honored "Dezuiri" were displayed before the sanctuary by Futabayama, Minanogawa, and Haguroyama, in the order mentioned.
    The tourney will continue for 13 days.
