Akinoumi Undefeated

Unblemished Record Kept Up On 7th Day

    Akinoumi, "ozeki" in the West team and the only undefeated grappler in the senior camp, maintained his unmarred record by beating Tsurugamine on the seventh day of the spring main sumo tourney at the Kokugikan on January 17.
    The East team outpointed the West team by 15 points to 10 on the seventh day, increasing its margin over the West team to 19 points, 94 to 75.
