Masuiyama Tips Over Haguroyama

    Haguroyama, new "yokozuna" of the East team, went down in defeat before the hands of rising Masuiyama, "maegashira", in a big upset on the third day of the spring main sumo tourney at the Kokugikan, Tokyo, on January 13.
    In another upset, Maedayama, "ozeki" of the West team, who suffered defeat at the hands of Tsurugamine on the first day, was again defeated by Futasegawa.
    The East team outpointed the West team 13 to 12 on the third day to lead the senior inter-team series by 38 to 35.
    The results of the other leading matches on the third day were:
