UNUSUAL PROMOTION GIVEN
Outstripping his fellow sumo wrestlers by 23 ranks at
a bound, Kamikaze, a young and promising wrestler Tuesday, was promoted
as one of the "full-fledged" wrestling champions, known as "Maku-no-uchi"
or Inside the Curtain, wrestlers. Kamikaze has thus become an envy of his
fellow wrestlers for his unusual promotion. He deserves this remarkable
promotion, because of his excellent results during the last semi-annual
wrestling tournament at the Kokugikan Amphitheater, Ryogoku. Kamikaze is
shown in the center in the above photo looking over a new list of wrestlers’
rankings. This year’s spring tournament will get under way on January 10.
