Minanogawa And Ayawaka Absent From Arena; East 81, West 79

    Minanogawa, "yokozuna", the highest ranking wrestler of the East team, who tasted three defeats out of five matches, and Ayawaka, "maegashira" of the same team, who injured his right leg in the match with Wakashio on the fifth day, absented themselves from the arena starting on the sixth day of the main sumo tourney at Kokugikan, Tokyo, on May 14.
    After a hard battle, Sagamigawa, "maegashira" of the East team, who continued an undefeated record until the fifth day, was toppled by Matsuuragata, who suffered only one defeat that to Akinoumi, "ozeki", the hope of the East team, on the fifth day.
    Adding three points more, 15 to 12, on the sixth day, the West team narrowed the East team's lead to 2 points, 81 to 79.
