Wrestler Feted Over Promotion in Rank
A dinner party was given on Friday night in honor of
Terukuni, the 23-year old sumo wrestler of sekiwake rank, who is likely
to be a champion in the near future. He won 12 out of 15 bouts in the recent
tournament, defeating such veterans of the East camp as Akinoumi and Maedayama.
The party was given by the Terukuni Assisting Society, made up of people
from Akita Prefecture, Terukuni's birthplace, at the Chuotei restaurant
in Marunouchi.
