Tatekabuto Wins

"Yokozuna" Minanogawa is in a slump. He lost another match on January 14, the fifth day of the Tokyo spring sumo tourney, the third fall in three straight days. Whether the slump is real or not it is difficult to surmise, but nothing can detract from the brilliant work of Tatekabuto, who hadn't won a bout up to the fifth day.
The results of the leading matches on the fifth day were:

Sagamigawa defeated Asahigawa
Nayoroiwa defeated Sakuranishiki
Terukuni defeated Ryuozan
Hishuzan defeated Banjaku
Itsutsushima defeated Aobayama
Maedayama defeated Tsurugamine
Haguroyama defeated Yamatonishiki
Futabayama defeated Ayanobori
Tatekabuto defeated Minanogawa
