Futabayama Downed

Minanogawa Also Bows On 2nd Day Of Tourney

    Futabayama, "Yokozuna", again went down in defeat before Kashimanada, "Maegashira", on the second day of the summer main tourney of the Japan Professional Sumo Association at the Kokugikan, Tokyo, on May 10.
    This was Futabayama's sixth defeat in his 111 official matches since the spring tourney of 1936. Kashimanada is the only grappler who has defeated Futabayama twice.
    Minanogawa, another "Yokozuna", was downed by Onami, "Maegashira".
    The West group led the East group by 28 matches to 18 at the end of the second day.
