SUMO CHAMP HAS AUTO TROUBLE

Minanogawa, grand champion of sumo (Japanese wrestling), is having a little difficulty with a midget automobile he bought through a friend last year. It's not that he needs a shoe horn to squeeze his bulk into a vehicle built for Japanese of average heft but a matter of legal ownership. Soon after the purchase, Minanogawa set out on his usual tour of the providences, finding his chariot a handy little runabout, especially at portages. Only since his return to Tokyo for the summer sumo tournament this month, did he learn of the new law prohibiting automobile trades. Although his own deal was made before, he neglected to have his auto registered in his own name, a minor and routine procedure to which the new ordinance offers a serious obstruction. Here the champ is shown at the traffic section of the Metropolitan Police Board trying to get the matter straightened out.
