TERUKUNI, ITSUTSUSHIMA PROMOTED AS WRESTLERS

Futabayama and Minanogawa Head List for Summer Tournament to Start Thursday

    The official list of leading wrestlers who will appear in the summer wrestling tournament lasting for 15 days beginning on Thursday was publishing Saturday. The list is the same as for the spring tournament in the four important grades of grand champion, sekiwake and komusubi except that some junior sekiwake have been appointed by both camps. The new junior sekiwake in the east camp is Terukuni and in the west camp Itsutsushima.
    Terukuni was second in the list of maegashira in the spring tournament, senior maegashira coming nest in rank to komusubi. He was promoted on the strength of winning nine matches out of 12.
    Itsutsushima was first in the list of maegashira in the last tournament and won 11 and lost four matches in the spring tournament. His victories included a defeat of the grand champion of the opposing camp.
    The leading wrestlers of the east camp in the new list are Grand Champion Futabayama, Champion Haguroyama, Sekiwake Nayoroiwa, Junior Sekiwake Terukuni, Komusubi Tamanoumi and Senior Maegashira Oshio.
    Chief wrestlers in the west camp are Grand Champion Minanogawa, Champion Maedayama, Sekiwake Akinoumi, Junior Sekiwake Itsutsushima, Komusubi Ayanobori and Senior Maegashira Kasagiyama.
