Classic Wrestlers Turn Modern
With the spring tournament at the Kokugikan just finished,
members of the Japan Sumo Association put on clothes yesterday to try their
hand at a less rigorous sport in which speed counts more than weight. The
classic wrestlers, top-knots and stomachs less in evidence than in the
ring, took on some employees of the North China Development Company for
a few innings of baseball at Hama-cho Park, Nihonbashi Ward.
