Another Championship Won by Futabayama
The championship of the spring sumo wrestling tournament
was yesterday conferred on Grand Champion Futabayama, leader of the East
camp on the last day of the 15-day he meet in spite of his defeat at the
hands of Itsutsushima, of the fifth rank in the West camp, last Sunday.
As a result, a second giant picture of Futabayama will be hung in the rows
of portraits of champions on the inside of the dome of the Kokugikan amphitheater.
