Irresistible Force Meet Immovable Body, Almost

    The rising young wrestler Terukuni, of the fifth rank, managed to get a trick hold on Grand Champion Minanogawa, of the East Camp, on Saturday on the tenth day of the present tournament, and was able to carry him across the ring boundary. Terukuni's strong of nine straight victories was broken yesterday, however, when he was defeated by Akinoumi, of the third rank in the West Camp.

Futabayama Defeated As Tournament Ending, Disappointing His Fans

    Grand Champion Futabayama, captain of the East Camp of sumo wrestlers, disappointed all of his admirers yesterday, the 11th day of the 13-day semi-annual tournament, when he was defeated by Itsutsushima, of the fifth rank of the West Camp, according to Domei. When the all but invincible wrestler was defeated, the surprised audience showed great excitement and the whole Kokugikan amphitheater was thrown into confusion. He lost a bout for the first time in the present tournament, added to his previous three defeats since he was made Grand Champion three years ago.
