The Japan Professional Sumo Association was among those donating one day's income to the Churei Kensho funds on Friday, January 12.
    The association gave ¥5,784.96 to the headquarters of the Churei Kenshokai, in the Kaijo building, Marunouchi, Tokyo. The sum represented the entire proceeds, minus the amusement tax, of the first day of the current spring sumo tourney at the Kokugikan ring, Tokyo.
