HAGUROYAMA'S PROMOTION CELEBRATED

Haguroyama, who will perform in the professional Sumo (Japanese wrestling) tournament starting on Thursday at the Kokugikan bowl at Ryogoku for the first time as an ohzeki or champion, was feted at a celebration banquet Sunday night as the Tokyo Kaikan. The photo shows him responding to congratulations. At the extreme right is Admiral Isamu Takeshita, retired, president of the Japan Sumo Association. At Haguroyama's right is former Foreign Minister Hachiro Arita. Haguroyama is 26 years old.
